These guidelines outline how zoos, amusement parks, holiday accommodation and wedding venues can open while keeping their patrons and staff safe from SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Accommodation services
The regulations outlined under lockdown level 3 still hold with the addition of the following:
- Interprovincial travel is allowed under level 2.
- Reception lobbies, entryways and other assembly points at accommodation services should limit the number of guests to 50 percent of the floor space capacity. Patrons must observe a physical distance of 1.5 metres at a gathering house.
Wedding and event venues
- Only 50 guests are allowed.
- The usual preventive precautions must still be followed including physical distancing of 1.5 metres and wearing face masks or coverings.
- Guests must wear their face coverings at all times except when eating or drinking.
- Event organisers must set up screening stations which all guests must go through before entering the venue.
- What about the wedding kiss? Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs spokesperson Lungi Mtshali explains: “There is nothing in the regulations that prohibits that, so of course the groom and bride can take off their masks for a short while and then kiss.”
Places of attraction
- These include botanical gardens, zoos, amusement parks and other leisure and entertainment places.
- Where possible guests should book ahead to help manage the venue’s capacity.
- Water activities can open under level 2 if they can ensure that people can maintain a physical distance of 1.5 metres both on and in the water.
- Staff and guests should have easy access to sanitising wipes where touch and interactive features are allowed.
- Enclosed entertainment venues, such as cable cars or escape rooms, should mark out the floor area to allow for physical distancing.
